The good things that I have had
I have obtained them free,
without contracts,
without signatures,
without appointments
without Visa
or MasterCard
The good things have interrupted quietly
have slid silently between the shreds of my life
and have invited to me to share them.
I am not in want of anything to be happy,
but I do need birdsong
a sky open without borders
stars twinkling
white clouds that fly

the dew
the sweet tear
the river
the rain
the sea

the corn
the grass

the fruit

but I need the heat

so I may follow my footpath without frontiers.
